Weekly programme

Tuesday
At 9.30 am there is an easy, guided BIKE TOUR through the fruit orchards of the Unterland, taking in Lake Kaltern - open to all. Duration of the tour approx. 2-2,5 hrs covering approx. 25-30 km. Can be booked up until a day in advance. Meet at the tourist inforamtion office. (min. 6 participants - free of charge)

Wednesday
At 9.00 am a WALK up CASTELFEDER hill, steeped in legend. Meet in the car parkt of the Schwarzenbach recreation area in Auer, booking up until a day in advance. Duration approx. 2,5 hrs. (min. 4 participants - free of charge)

At 6.00 pm WINE TASTING in the oldest private cellar in South Tyrol, H. Lun in Neumarkt. Can be booked up until a day in advance in the tourist information office. Meet at the H. Lun wine cellar. (min. 2 participans - cost € 4)

Thursday
At 10.00 am WALK through the labyrinth of streets in Auer. Meet in front of the tourist information office, booking up until one day in advance. Duration approx. 1,5 hrs. (min. 6 participants - free of charge)

Friday
At 10.00 am "AROUND THE APPLE" - visit to the orchards with an expert. Duration approx. 2 hrs. Meet in the tourist information office. Can be booked up until a day in advance in the tourist information office. (min. 6 participants - free of charge)

SPECIAL EVENTS

Markus Market
When: 25.04.2011; Time: from 8.00 am; Place: Auer
With over 200 craft and food stalls, the Markus Market in Auer is a highlight of our event calendar. A range of products can be tried and purchased at the numerous stalls from as early as 8.30 am. Sausages, "Brezen" (giant pretzels) and breads are available to buy from 10.00 am.

South Tyrol wine rout week - Vino in Festa
When: 14.05.2011 - 11.06.2011; Place: Along the South Tyrol wine route
For a month - form 14th May to the 11th June 2011 - the 15 wine-growing areas along the South Tyrol wine route become the location for a very special event: the South Tyrol wine route week - Vino in Festa 2011 invites you to enjoy a varied and high-quality program with many event highlights centering on wine.

Wine Cellar Night
When: 14.05.2011; Time: 5.00 - 0.00 pm; Place: along the South Tyrol wine route
More than 25 famous and well-loved cellars along the South Tyrol wine route open their doors to amateurs, experts and all enthusiasts of wine. A one-off opportunity to explore the cavernous cellars and their wonderful wines in one night. In addition: a varied program of events turns the cellar tour into a complete and entertaining wine experience. A shuttle service ensures you a safe and comfortable journey between cellars.

Pinot Noir festival
When: 21.05.2011 - 23.05.2011; Place: Montan, Neumarkt
South Tyrol Pinot Noir Festival in Neumarkt and Montan
This international event is dedicated to Pinot Noir. Public seminars and tastings take place in Neumarkt and Montan. The event culminates in a Pinot Noir festival in the centre of Neumarkt! Pay us a visit!

Champagne breakfest at Ansitz Liebenstein
When: 21.05.2011; Time: from 10 am - 2 pm ; Place: Ansitz Liebenstein
Taste the sparkling wine "Haderburg Brut" from the champagne producer Haderburg Alois Ochsenreiter and culinary delights of the Slow Food chef Ingrid Pardatscher from Guesthouse Fichtenhof in Gfrill in the inner courtyard of the imposing residence Ansitz Liebenstein with its renowned fresco of Mother Mary dating back to the 16th century. You will definitely enjoy that Saturday morning! Ansitz Liebenstein is located in the village centre of Salurn behind the town hall; car park available behind the parish church or in the "Lavis" areal.

Walther Trophy
When: 02.06.2011 – 05.06.2011; Place: Shooting Range
The riflemen of Ora organize an international competition. There will be a test-stand, exhibitions, different snacks and there will be present a service team of the company Walther.

Lagrein and the changing times
When: 09.06.2011; Time: 7.00 - 0.00 pm; Place: Kirchplatz - Auer
Auer is a typical cultivation area for the autochthon Lagrein grape. This event will give you extensive information about this full-bodied red wine, its origin, distribution and style.
While tasting different kinds of Lagrein from a number of wine cellars, you will get a very balanced insight into this wine. The hosts are the Wine & Culture Association Auer, the Tourist Board Castelfeder as well as the HGV Village Group of Auer.
The hotelier and restaurant association of Auer is pleased to dish up some gastronomic specialties

Festival
When: 10.06.2011 - 12.06.2011 ; Time: from 7 pm; Place: Salurn
Every year at the end of May some associations of Salurn organize the traditional Archway – Festival in the old centre of Salurn. The festival starts on Friday, 11. june at 19 o’clock and ends on Sunday, 12. june at midnight.
You can expect traditional delicacies, a rich music program and the typical south Tyrolean warmth

Schwarzenbach Cup
When: 10.06.2011 – 13.06.2011 ; Time: from 6 am ; Place: sport zone Schwarzenbach
The association of the table tennis Ora organizes the international competition for the 26th time.

Concert
When: 22.07.2011 ; Time: 8.30 pm ; Place: Court of the Castel Auer
The association of the concert Ora organizes a concert with the “Südtiroler Bläserensemble” in the court of the Castel Auer.
The “Südtiroler Bläserensemble” consists of 4 trumpets, 1 horn, 4 trombone and 1 tuba.
In case of bad weather it will take place in the new concert hall.

Neumarkt street festival
When: 05.08.2011 - 07.08.2011 ; Time: from 6 pm ; Place: Neumarkt
Neumarkt has its traditional village festival in its leafy streets. Music, entertainment and South Tyrolean specialties await!

Concert
When: 13.08.2011 ; Time: 9.15 pm ; Place: Castel Enn Montagna
The musical band of Montagna invites to the traditional concert in the Castel Enn.
In case of bad weather it will take place on the Sunday, 14th august

Unterland wine-tasting event
When: 18.08.2011 - 20.08.2011; Time: from 7 pm ; Place: Schloss Baumgarten - Auer
At the Unterland wine-tasting event you can find out all about wine as well as sample the various kinds! Seminars and presentations draw visitors from all over the world to this event!

Cabaret
When: 18.08.2011; Time: 8.30 pm; Place Happacherhof
The association of concert “Südtirol Unterland – Auer” invites to the cabaret in the Happacherhof. Leo Ploner, Georg Hasler and Brass Vocal Ensemble guarantee an entertaining evening.

11th Fit For Business Run
When: 02.09.2011; Time: 7 pm; Place: Egna
The basic ideas of this run are the following:
• Fun and pleaser stay over the seriousness of the competition
• Teamwork and unity will be support
• During this event many people begin with the running and so they start a new feeling of life
• Every company, every chef and every single person should realize the intrinsic value

Concert of the symphony orchestra of the teachers Stuttgart
When: 03.11.2011; Time: 8.30 pm; Place: Concert hall
The aim of this orchestra is to show the teachers the “classical” values and at the other site to pass this to the pupil.

Market of St. Andreas
When: 30.11.2011; Time: 8 am - 4 pm; Place: Salorno
The market is a traditional market and a highlight on every calendar. From the morning until the evening through the streets of Salorno there will be offered different products

Symphony Concert
